Product Development

Brewer have always been at the forefront of developing new products to meet the changing needs of the industry and new standards. To aid the development of new products and to have a voice regarding the new standards, Brewer is now a full member of the British Flue and Chimney Manufacturers Association, part of FETA. Brewer also subscribes to the Solid Fuel Technology Institute and is an associative member of NACS (National Association of Chimney Sweeps). Being active members of these organisations is invaluable to Brewer in keeping up to date.

Lobster Back Cowl

When considering using the well established Lobster Back Cowl, the first obstacle to purchasing is establishing the exact internal diameter of the pot to which the unit is to be fitted. This activity in many instances deters the person from buying the unit.

NOT ANY MORE

The new Brewer Universal Lobster Back Cowls are available in two sizes covering a range of pot diameters from 115mm to 235mm. Each unit has a cast aluminium base and stainless steel rotating head. The cowl is fitted by means of four stainless steel hook bolts and the external turbo leg and stainless steel strap system ensuring total security of fixing. Another original idea from Brewer.

The Works
Over the last few months, production of Brewer products has gone through a mini-revolution. John Carr, production manager has reported that the changes made have increased production, to meet the growing demand whilst still further improving the quality of manufacture. Within the next month, it is anticipated that the new riveting machines, designed, developed and built in Brewers' own workshop, will be put to production after extensive tests. These new machines will further enhance the known quality of Brewer products.

Birdguards

Brewer have developed a new range of birdguards in response to requests from many of our loyal customers. The new birdguards, gas or solid fuel, have a mesh top rather than the traditional rain cap style developed by Brewer many years ago. One of the many advantages the new birdguard offers is the complete protection to the system from birds and debris entry whilst being almost undetectable from ground level.
